What We Do
As a finance broker, we have a responsibility to protect our customers’ privacy while helping to tailor an appropriate finance package to our customers’ individual needs.
We collect data about you in number of ways:
- via any application you make directly with us
- Via any enquiry you make through our social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram;
- when you contact us via telephone;
- once you are a registered customer, via third party organisations, such as credit reference agencies; We will ask you for basic personal data, such as:
- your name;
- date of birth;
- current and previous addresses;
- business account statements
- financial information regarding your business
- physical forms of identity
- bank account details
- Any information we collect is used as part of your finance application and/or to protect you from fraud. We will not collect any unnecessary data. We cannot provide you with financial services without this information.
- As the application process progresses, we may ask for additional information either because we require it or a third- party reference agency or fraud prevention agency requires it.

Provide Our Services to You: We process, transfer and disclose your information in order to verify your identity, perform anti‐fraud and credit checks on you, decide whether to allow you to use this website, whether to go ahead with your application, open an account or grant your application and otherwise onboard you as a customer, and in case we have any queries.
Sharing your information
We will share your data with these organisations:

- To provide you with a prompt response we intend to use an automated decision-making system to ascertain your credit profile, by processing the personal information you give us, combined with information on your credit history and background which we will obtain from credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies. The process will provide a credit rating which will enable us to decide whether or not to offer you finance and also the rates and terms on which any offer will be made. The automated process is regularly reviewed and updated to ensure that it provides a fair and unbiased conclusion. By agreeing to our Privacy Policy you are agreeing to the use of automated processing. This means that we may automatically determine that you pose a fraud or money laundering risk or that your behaviour is consistent with that of such persons or inconsistent with your previous submissions or with information about your identity. If you are not happy with the response you receive, you may, within one month of receiving our response, tell us the basis of your objection and ask us to arrange for the decision to be reviewed by one of our small team of credit underwriters. We will notify you of the steps taken and of the outcome of complying with your request.
- The most appropriate lender depending on your personal circumstances, if we agree to process your finance application;
- A third-party identification and fraud prevention agency, who help us to verify and protect your identity; and
- Legal advisors, tracing or debt collection agents, or any other supplier for the purposes of recovering sums due to us, or investigating and/or resolving any claim or dispute.
- We may disclose or share your data, in good faith, if we are under a duty to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation, or to; protect the rights, property, or safety of Tafco Ltd staff, customers or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
- We will never sell your information to another organisation.
Additional marketing
We will not spam you, we will only have a need to contact you in relation to your existing finance arrangements or if we think there are new products that are suitable to your needs.
We also gather
Information TAFCO holds – we document what personal data TAFCO hold, where it came from and who TAFCO share it with. TAFCO have an information audit across the company. GDPR requires TAFCO to maintain records of our processing activities. It updates rights for a networked world. For example, if TAFCO have inaccurate personal data and have shared this with another organisation, TAFCO will have to tell the other organisation about the inaccuracy so it can correct its own records. TAFCO won’t be able to do this unless you know what personal data you hold, where it came from and who you share it with. TAFCO will document this. Doing this will also help TAFCO to comply with the GDPR’s accountability principle, which requires organisations to be able to show how they comply with the data protection principles, for example by having effective policies and procedures in place.
How long we keep your data for?
TAFCO must keep records for 6 years from the end of the last company financial year they relate to, or longer if: they show a transaction that covers more than one of the company’s accounting periods.

We have listed the rights you have over your information below. These rights are subject to certain restrictions and may only apply to certain types of information or processing. Right of Access: You are entitled to obtain from us details concerning the processing of your personal information. This includes details of the data being processed, the purposes of the processing, any recipients of that information, the period for which the information is processed, the source of the information (if it is not provided by you), any transfers of the information and the protections we put in place to protect your information. You are entitled to a copy of the personal information we process about you (including in electronic form). Additional copies may be subject to a reasonable administrative fee.
Right to Rectification: You are entitled to have any incomplete and inaccurate personal information held by us rectified.
Right to Erasure (‘be forgotten’): In certain circumstances you are entitled to have personal information erased. However, we may continue processing the information in certain circumstances. If you request that we erase your personal information we shall advise you if we consider that there are on-going grounds permitting us to continue processing your information.
Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to restrict the processing of personal information we hold about you in certain circumstances. We will advise you if we do not agree with your request to restrict processing and our reasons.
Right to Data Portability: Where you provide personal information to us and consent to us using it and the processing is carried out by automatic means you are entitled to receive a copy of that information in a machine readable format and for that to be provided to another data controller, where technically possible.
Right to Object: You are entitled to object to our collection, use of and otherwise processing of your personal information where the basis for the processing is our legitimate interests or the processing is in the public interest. You may object to processing for direct marketing purposes at any time. In such circumstances we shall cease processing your personal information unless we are otherwise permitted to process the information under applicable data protection laws.
